I don't mean to brag or anything *cough, cough* but I am the self proclaimed queen of wearing things unconventionally. If you can wear something 30 different ways, you bet your sweet ass that this girl is going to find, every single one of them. When I came across this Minkpink cape a few years back at a 50OFF sale, I'd convinced myself that I needed it and, surprise surprise,  I've worn it a grand total of 3 times, including that one time on the blog. I think a lot of us do this more than we'd like to admit; buy something we think we "need", only to find out we really didn't need it after all... Leaving us with a closet full of, MEH.
I'm glad to say that I've since surpassed my obsession with capes (ugh, sort of) and have learned not to succumb to these impulsive buys, but there was no way I was going to get rid of it, so I decided that it makes a pretty amazing scarf. It's 100% wool, so it's super warm, it's huge so it gives boring outfits a nice little touch, and I was stopped a few times and paid some lovely complements! Obviously I paired it with a number of other black, gray and white items, because who needs colour when there are so many beautiful shades of black? :) Have you ever found an interesting way to wear an old item?
